Basically, weight loss pills fall into two categories and work by different mechanisms. I am going to share with you about Xenical or Orlistat, the category of digestive inhibitors. The other category of weight loss pills is appetite suppressants which will be shared in my future articles.
How does Xenical work?
If you want to include Xenical or Orlistat in your program for weight loss, you need to know how it works in your body. Xenical works by blocking some of the fat that you eat from being digested and assimilated. It does this by blocking up to 75% of the digestive enzyme lipase, an enzyme which breaks down fat, resulting in as much as 30% of the fat you consume not going to be digested. This undigested fat cannot be absorbed and is eliminated in your bowel movements.
