How dieting system works
It is good to understand how the dieting system works if you are under a program for weight loss. When you consume carbohydrates foods, your pancreas will start to work. It will release insulin to pull the sugar out of your bloodstream and into your body cells, so that the sugar can be turned to fuel or energy, and used in your daily activities. Your blood sugar level will be lowered once the sugar is pulled out of your bloodstream. Now you feel hungry again and want to eat something. This is how the dieting system works.
Why taking high-fiber carbohydrates in a healthy weight loss program?
If you take high-glycemic food ie processed carbohydrates or simple carbohydrates, your blood sugar will spike all the way up as these carbohydrates are quickly turned to sugar. Then it will drop dramatically when sugar is taken out of the bloodstream. The theory is same as you throw a ball to the wall, whenever you throw the ball harder towards the wall, you will get a harder bounce back. It will end up with big fluctuation of your blood sugar stream, and this can cause you to eat large quantity of carbohydrates, thus gain in weight no matter you aware or not. That is why simple carbohydrates do not help in weight loss.
