Calcium can increase metabolism and fat burning.  According to Heritage Family Study, published in the Journal of Nutrition, revealed that there was an association between calcium intake and a reduction in body fat, especially abdominal fat. As such, calcium is one of the supplements that highly recommended in a weight loss program.

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA)
Over years, studies showed that CLA can positively affects the reduction of body fat and improve body contours.

A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study, published in the December 2000 issue of the Journal of Nutrition revealed that CLA reduced fat and preserved muscle tissue. According to the research, an average reduction of 6 lbs of body fat was found in the group that took CLA, compared to a placebo group.  That is why CLA is one of the hot supplements in a weight loss program.

Capsaicin
It improves blood circulation, increases metabolism and energy expenditure, and thus helps in weight loss program.

Before you choose any supplements for your weight loss program, be sure that you know how to select a safe food supplements.  And always choose food supplements that provide multifaceted approach instead of sole function to a program for weight loss.
