Obese is a condition that can lead to heart disease, stroke, cancer, arthritis and other disease. In fact, there are more than one billion overweight adults in the world today, with at least 300 million of whom are obese. We will discuss the diseases caused by obese one by one but let us start with cancer, a disease that seems so common nowadays. Please reduce your weight if you do not have a healthy body weight.
Types of Cancer
There are several types of cancer are associated with being overweight. Overweight women are at greater risk for developing cancer of uterus, gallbladder, cervix, ovary, breast and colon. For men, these include cancer of colon, rectum and prostate.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), raised Body Mass Index (BMI) increases the risks of cancer of the colon, prostate, breast, endometrium, kidney and gallbladder as well.
