Health Benefits Of Antioxidant Cranberries

Cranberry juice prevents and cures tumours. It is also proven to lower LDL cholesterol and helps in preventing heart disease. Plaque formation on teeth is prevented by a substance called proanthocyanidine which is present in cranberry juice. It will not be long before mouth washes making use if this substance will be available in the market. Cranberry juice is also believed to combat the multiplication of breast cancer cells, though the research to prove it is still on.
Consumption of dried cranberries leads to more flexible veins and arteries; this averts the risk of stroke or heart diseases. It also cures coronary thrombosis or clotting of blood in veins.
Cranberry also aids in lowering blood sugar, high blood pressure and it also helps in treatment of cancer. Its anti- inflammatory properties makes it a wonderful asset when it comes to treating diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and ulcerative colitis. It is also believed to help in the treatment of prostate cancer, as well.It might taste awful but its benefits are countless. For those who don’t like its taste, cranberry is available in supplement form or in capsule.
