To people here– Realize that nutrition isn’t as simple as good fat, bad fat, good cholesterol, bad cholesterol… and that weight loss has a lot more factors than just calorie intake and exercise-burned calories.

IT would be wiser and cheaper and more all natural to just use honey.

What I find odd is that most Americans in particular don’t learn about nutrition as they grow older. They continue and still want to eat the way they did when they were kids and teens, and they wonder why they’re fat, etc.. when they get older.

what evidence do you have?

I drink diet soda often enough. I have since I was a kid. I also have a BMI of 20.0. A body fat percentage of 8 (hydrostatically measured.) The last time I visited the doctor (about 6 months ago) I was told that I’m in near perfect health.

oh, the shit we humans create.
I love it. A big, fat cesspool of chemically altered
lard asses and nit wits.
The funny thing is, good nutrition and health practices have been around for thousands of years and humans still pursue any excuse to not eat healthy and exercise. Fuck em all. You get what you deserve.

Yeah whatever but I´m studying for may exams right now and it´s not like I am going to drink 2L of regular coke to stay awake… I bet my diet coke won´t make me fat (as long as I don´t overeat, which I won´t because I need my bloodstream focused on my brain and not my stomach)

July 30th, 2009 at 9:54 pm

It´s what I ended up doing, thanks… I really don´t like diet coke that much because it makes me hungry, and I don´t drink regular coke because of the sugar. And coffee has waaay more caffeine, so I gues that you are right and that it´s waaay better

This video sucks, and the guy in it is either a( bullshitting, or b) doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. There is not a shred of evidence in the world that can prove Aspartame is bad for humans. The rat study he’s talking about had those rats on what would be equivalent to drinking 100 cans a day for humans…lol, nobody drinks that much. Plus, anything with 0 calories CANNOT put weight on anybody. Period. Don’t believe that they will — it’s bullshit.

name 1 person who died from sugar
August 1st, 2009 at 8:54 am
the thousands of people who die from type 2 diabetes
August 2nd, 2009 at 7:59 am
that had occured to me. but its not really a direct death by sugar. suger causes the diabetes but its the diabetes that causes the death. sort of like people dont die from smoking a ciggarette. the ciggarette causes cancer or w/e whch kills you. heroin on the other hand can kill you through overdose aswell as secondary causes. cigarretes could too if you smoked enough in 1 go.

your a dumb ass you know that right
August 10th, 2009 at 7:02 pm
sugar does not cause diabetes – you are predisposed to contract it (genes) – and your health habits (diet, activity) contribute to your contracting the disease

My weight stayed the same when I was hooked on diet softdrinks. Though, I did develop some scary ms-like symptoms. They’ve mostly resolved since I stopped with the diet sodas 6 months ago. That stuff is no joke. Heed the warnings.

Diet soda doesn’t cause weight gain. I drink a can a day. I eat 1000-1200 of healthy calories, no sugary foods at all. And I don’t crave sweets. Diet soda is the only thing that satisifies my sweet cravings so I don’t binge on high calories sugary foods. It’s sounds like people who are fat and drink diet drink diet soda to justify their poor food juices.
I’m not saying it’s good for you, but it won’t make you gain weight alone. It’s ultimately your food choices that matter.
