Deep Bleaching For the Ultimate White
The Deep Bleaching process for the extreme whitening of natural teeth can only be accomplished over time, through a scheduled and important process that the patient must commit to at home as well as in the dental office. There are many methods of bleaching used today, including the Zoom, but most dentists and oral health professionals will agree that the most extreme whitening comes from a time regimented process wherein the tooth is first trained to accept oxygen and absorb it. This initial treatment, the first dentist office appointment that you will have during the two week procedure, will not greatly change the color of the teeth, though normally a slight improvement is seen after this.
During this first appointment and treatment, you will be given a specialized kit for at home treatments which will take place during your sleeping hours, making it ultimately convenient and comfortable to see through on your own. Normally, you will be asked to whiten with the bleaching gel and trays for fourteen consecutive days, though most dentists don’t like to see this practice stopped until the final office treatment is given. Therefore, if your final appointment is sixteen days after your first, expect to use the whitening trays for sixteen consecutive nights.
The trays are designed as translucent, comfortable, and self sealing, so you need not worry about them coming out of place while you sleep. They are also designed with small reservoir pouches beside each tooth to catch and hold excess gel throughout the night. Most kits are equipped with syringes for the dispensing of the gel, making it far easier for the patient to measure the proper amount of gel without too much overkill or oozing. You will probably not see much of a change in the color of your teeth throughout the home bleaching process either, but you are doing the very important work of getting oxygen deep into the enamel of your teeth, readying them for the final office treatment.
Deep Bleaching may not be appropriate for everyone, and your dentist will need to be aware of your full dental history before deciding whether or not you should consider this treatment. Those with sensitive or porous teeth may experience a worsening of this condition due to the nature of the whitening process, and those with decay, weakened enamel, or other existing issues may also be cautioned before moving forward with the Deep Bleaching procedure.
